Department of Computer Applications:

DCA combines the intellectual challenge of a new discipline with the excitement of an innovative and rapidly expanding technology. DCA has been an active department at HIMT since its establishment in 2000. The Department resides in HIMT's block for Information Technology; this striking building houses many of the College's computing activities, including the instructional computing facilities and research labs. Faculty, staff and students are provided state-of-the-art computing facilities managed by the department's own technical staff.

Department delivers a broad array of technical and professional education that unlock their true inner potential with a range of numerous academic and co-curricular activities.

Bachelor in computer application (BCA)

BCA is a 3 year graduate degree in computer application. The increased growth of IT industry all over the globe has created a lot of opportunities for computer professionals. The whole course emphasis on core application development with focus on improving programming skills of student.

Scope of BCA

• Bachelor in computer application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the software development. This course comprises of the subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like ‘C’,’C++’ and ‘java’.
•  It’s worth noting that acquiring a graduation certificate in BCA isn’t enough to compel the employers to hire you. One needs to be open to learning new skills and grabbing opportunities coming their way.
